Slovenia summer trip - 2021

In the summer of 2021, when the pandemic was still going strong, we decided to take a trip to Slovenia. Some countries were open to visitors, but we weren’t sure for how long, and the situation could change quickly. Quarantine was still a potential risk.

The decision to go anyway was a great one, as it meant that without the crowds of tourists, travel was fairly unhurried and even the locals were more likely to stay at home. Our first stop was the capital, Ljubljana. Please enjoy a few of the photos below.

It’s a beautiful, green city.

Slovenia is a small country, but it has a sea, meadows and mountains. All of these places can be reached in about 2 hours from the capital. We visited Piran, Lipica stud farm, Triglav National Park, Škofja Loka and more.
